It may be difficult to take the first step on your fertility journey, but it is doable. Find a fertility clinic near you. Make your first appointment today and take a fertility test. Start your fertility treatment process. Don’t give up, keep trying…

Is It Getting Harder and Harder for You to Become Pregnant?

The process of trying to get pregnant becomes sometimes difficult and exhausting when you’re dealing with infertility and fertility treatment.

Getting enough sleep might be a challenge for you. However, the kind of exhaustion you feel is not the same as the kind you feel now. It’s a feeling of mental and emotional exhaustion that goes beyond belief. There is a point when you feel your actual cells and DNA are exhausted.

Repetition of disappointment can result in weariness in the bone marrow. It can also be caused by holding on to hope. At every appointment, don’t hesitate to ask any questions you have. Having to drive back and forth to the office and the repeated work nature can also cause tiredness. As a result of the repetitive nature of infertility, a person might feel exhausted.

In the long run, circular thinking and spiraling anxiety take their toll on the mind. It’s when you can’t seem to stop thinking and your thoughts keep spinning around and around until you have no idea where they came from and where they are going.

Continually communicating what’s going on with your fertility journey. Repeatedly answering the same questions it’s not easy at all! It’s all so exhausting.

Fight Infertility Exhaustion With These Tips

The following tips are easy to follow and will help you feel more rested, energetic, and calm during your fertility journey. And the best part? They are easy to do, cost little or no money, and give you big results.

Don’t Think About Your Fertility

Don’t let fertility consume your mind. Give yourself a mental break from it. It could be a long-term project or a DIY project from start to finish. Enjoy the anticipation of spending your time differently by ordering materials ahead of time.

Colors, textures, and designs are best chosen at your leisure. Play some feel-good music during the process to make it even more enjoyable. It might be a good idea to switch off your “fertility brain” for a moment and to switch back on your creative side for a few minutes.

Take Some Time to Unplug

You can spend half a day or a full day decompressing without being plugged into the internet. The transition may feel strange at first, but it will pay off in the end. Take a break from watching TV, turn off your phone, and step away from all your screens.

Get off Social Media

Use your social media time to go for a walk instead to decrease envy and stress. Take advantage of walking outside to increase those endorphins! And take an hour for yourself and put your phone away.

If the weather is chilly, dress warmly and enjoy the fresh air. If possible, bring a friend and avoid discussing infertility or fertility treatments.

Enjoy a Little Self-Care

Have you stressed anyone? Spend some time for yourself, go to the spa and massage center to de-stress. You’ll be so relieved when you take care of yourself in this way – and relaxing bits help counteract your body’s stress hormones.

Relaxing in the warmth of the water, getting a massage, and looking at pretty colors do wonders for you. It is the opposite of exhausting.

Take Care of Your Body by Nourishing It

Choose a recipe from a cookbook or the internet that sounds amazing, then buy the ingredients and cook it. Feel the sensations of washing fruits and vegetables, inhaling the aroma of what you’re cooking, and experimenting with different textures while planning and preparing food.

Plan your meal to be watched in front of a funny movie or set the table with a special tablecloth and candles. There is nothing more important than nurturing your body and you should take the time and make the effort to cook a nutritious meal.

Get in Touch With Your Community

Can you think of anything else that is exhausting? It’s not a good idea to pretend to be “fine” all the time. Get in touch with your people by seeking peer support!

Develop new relationships. Talk to people who understand what it is like to undergo fertility treatment on an emotional roller coaster. Getting to know how others answer those ever-present and painful family-building questions may inspire you to come up with a new response for the next time you find yourself in the same situation.

As you journey through this challenging period, you deserve a support system that can provide you with true empathy and understanding. They can make a huge difference in the quality of your experience.

Make an Appointment With a Fertility Counselor

If you want to find out more about fertility, you should schedule a consultation with a fertility counselor. After listening carefully, they will provide tools to help you through this difficult time in your life based on your specific situation.

It can feel like you’re taking a deep breath when speaking with a fertility counselor when you hadn’t even realized you’d been holding it. Their expertise lies in helping fertility patients.

In addition, fertility counselors can help you cope with complex emotions and allow you to explore them in a safe environment.

Let’s Take a Short Break

The decision can be difficult. Your main focus may be keeping momentum and moving forward to have a baby, which is understandable. However, taking a short break might be more beneficial in the long run.

Even a few minutes of shifting your focus to something else can give you a fresh, energized outlook, even if you can’t take an extended break from treatment.

Try These Short Break Ideas

  • Make yourself feel good by listening to music
  • Play board games with your family
  • Take time to read a new book (or one you love)
  • Dinner with your family or partner
  • Talk to a friend who understands
  • Get together with friends and avoid baby talk
  • Relax by taking a hot bath
  • Get out for a walk
  • Do some yoga
  • Enjoy the sunshine in a hammock
  • Spend some time outside gardening
  • A massage can help you relax
