PGT-A or PGS Known as Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy ( PGT-A) or Preimplantation Genetic Screening ( PGS)
TO WHOM TO ADVICE
- Women above 35yrs
- Previous failed IVF ( RIF)
- History of abortions in past ( RPL)
- Male partner with abnormal semen parameters
- As a routine with PGD
- Optional during first IVF to plan Single Pregnancy
STEPS FOR PROCEDURE
- A detailed evaluation by Geneticist
- Go through IVF / ICSI
- Embryos cultured till day 5/6 blastocyst
- Embryo biopsy ( few cells) done with laser, sample sent to Genetic lab and embryo frozen
- Embryo reported as Euploid ( Having normal chromosomes ) is transferred back as in FET cycle
